Our Ambassadors

Sting & Trudie Styler are ardent campaigners for...

and deeply committed to a healthier, fairer and more sustainable world, especially shown by their own environment-conscious farming practices. Among other things, they have focussed on hosting and protecting bee colonies for many decades. They are very much seen as role models for their generation and generations to come.
What qualifies a singer, an actor or an athlete to represent WE FOR EARTH? And what good can celebrities really do?
WE FOR EARTH celebrities have a wide range of talents and achievements, but they all share a commitment to improving climate issues worldwide. And in each case a celebrity’s association with WE FOR EARTH comes about because he or she has already demonstrated that commitment. Fame has some clear benefits in certain roles with WE FOR EARTH. Celebrities attract attention, so they are in a position to focus the world’s eyes on the needs of environmental issues, both in their own countries and by visiting field projects and emergency programmes abroad. They can make direct representations to those with the power to effect change. They can use their talents and fame to fundraise and advocate for and support WE FOR EARTH’s mission to a greener, healthier and more sustainable world.

WE FOR EARTH was the first of many ‘causes’ to enlist the help of celebrities. There is a current distinguished roster of international, regional and national goodwill ambassadors. These pages give some background about WE FOR EARTHS’s celebrity representatives and their work – and provide some evidence of the positive power of fame.
